Something about Steve Jobs.

Ability and skill are not the same thing as intelligence and wisdom.

Steve Jobs, an example of how intelligence and ignorance know no bounds.

When Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one of the worst prognosis and highest mortality rate cancers, he discarded the usual scientific treatment consisting of surgery and chemotherapy, opting for "natural" medicine instead. This was against the advice of his doctors (likely some of the best in the world), family, and friends.

Ignorance knows no limits, regardless of the supposed genius of some people.

Instead, he began a therapy based on special fruit juices, acupuncture, herbal remedies, etc. A heterogeneous set of "treatments" that have no proven efficacy to try to cure a very serious and potentially lethal disease. The equivalent of a soldier trying to destroy an enemy tank with insults and egg throwing.

As these "natural" therapies were not enough, he also turned to spiritualists, WOW!!!

So in the end, after going back and forth, he spent 9 months rejecting the only treatment that might have saved him, since we know that against cancer the best course is always to start treatment as soon as possible.

Certainly, just as meditation does not increase the ability to objectively judge one's own behavior, but rather a healthy thought process adjusted to logic, Steve Jobs' technological expertise did not help him make the correct decision at a crucial moment in his life.

Both he and many others value/valueled things that do not have it, and by rejecting God's advice, they foolishly err.

Here's the advice...there is no other:

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil; 8 It will be MEDICINE to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

20 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, and MEDICINE to all their flesh.

1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

30 The blows that wound cleanse away evil; strokes make clean the innermost parts.

18 There are those whose speech is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

There is no correlation between being smart and being wise.
