Proverbs 25:28

“ Like a city torn down and without a wall, is  the man whose spirit has no rein.”

LOCKS ON MY TONGUE:

We put a lock on our house, a key on our desk, a secret code on our cell phone, an alarm on our car, but we never think about taking care of the safety of our lips.

WE SINN OF IMPRUDENCE:

Psalm 141:3

“Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord;

Guard the door of my lips .”

The wise man thinks what he says and the fool says what he thinks. There is a short distance between what I think and what I say. If I don't discipline myself to think before I speak, I will find myself in situations where I have to apologize daily. Is that your case? If your tongue gets you into trouble, you need a guard for your lips. He who does not measure his words is of weak character. Uncontrollable.

“Like a city without defense and without walls is the one who does not know how to control himself.”

Know? There are so many victims of verbal abuse lying on the side of the road. Verbal abuse is much worse than physical abuse and there are words, the Bible says, that are like blows from a sword.

How can I ensure that I won't offend anyone with my words? With an internal and effective control, like an installed alarm that activates before speaking, the Holy Spirit operating from within. You got it?

Confess your weakness to God and ask Him for wisdom to act, live and speak wisely. For healthy mental health
